How is it that the majority of the American people can sit idle as a corrupt government completely shred the Constitution and The Bill of Rights right before their eyes?

With Patriot Act 1 and 2 and now the "Torture" Bill (HR 6166), basically any citizen can be detained for any reason, without warrant or evidence, held indefinately, without trial, without being told why they have been detained, without telling anyone who they have detained and throw in some torture for good measure.

It also gives all those that have used torture immunity from any prosecution for crimes.

The MSM has since ignored reporting anything more about it as they have directed their attention on Republican Congressman Mark Foley's scandal. The perfect distraction to keep the American people from focusing on the fact their Constitution and Bill of Rights has been shreded.
